Consultancy Program Officer: University of Surrey

The University is looking for an enthusiastic individual to take on a permanent role as the Consultancy Program Officer. As the primary officer supporting the Research and Innovation’s Consultancy Program, the successful candidate will play a major role in advising and supporting academics as they develop their consultancy projects and coordinating with external agencies.

The Consultancy Program Officer will report directly to Head of Research Pre-Award and work closely with Research Applications Officers, Research Legal Contracts and Research Finance as well as Faculty Leadership. The post holder will have the independence to manage multiple projects to ensure administrative and financial requirements are accurately completed.

The successful applicant will have strong business, financial administrative and communication skills, keen eye for detail, and understanding of financial costing and due diligence with an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.  A commitment to customer satisfaction and a desire to maximize the program’s potential is also particularly valued.

Candidates will ideally have experience of working in or with higher education institutions or industries.  Familiarity with consultants and university consultancy programs and policies is preferable.

Applicants will be educated to HND/NVQ L2/3 in Business Administration or equivalent with relevant work experience or broad vocational experience.
