Following a review of our support for technology transfer, the University of St Andrews is excited to communicate that we are investing in new posts to support this key area.

 

We are seeking two exceptional individuals to join our Knowledge Transfer Centre (KTC, www.st-andrews.ac.uk/ktc) which is in the process of being rebranded to the Technology Transfer Centre and is a key part of Research & Innovation Services at St Andrews. Within KTC we are keen to offer high-quality support to our academic community with a focus on professional IP management throughout a wide range of academic and industry innovation opportunities. These posts will report to the Head of Technology Transfer and will be key in ensuring a strategic approach to technology transfer.

 

Within the last year the University has increased the level of investment into research and innovation support for our academic researchers, creation of this post is part of this initiative.  If you are a well-motivated individual with a passion to make a difference and have a keen interest in the commercialisation of excellent international research and innovation, then this is the position for you.

 

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) preferably in a science based discipline. You will have direct experience of working to commercialise intellectual property. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be comfortable in working with colleagues from all levels and be fully computer literate.

In 2019 the University will establish purpose built office accommodation at Eden Campus, Guardbridge by St Andrews, to provide a state of the art working environment for a number of our Professional Services Units. It is anticipated that up to 450 Professional Services staff from a range of Units will be based in the new development at Guardbridge. 

These posts will be primarily based at the Eden Campus at Guardbridge.
