About the Role
A Commecialisation Manager is required to manage the commercialisation of intellectual property arising principally from Barts School of Medicine and Dentistry, at Queen Mary University of London. This position requires knowledge of intellectual property protection and exploitation through technology licensing and new spinout company formation.
About You
You will have a strong scientific background in life science or medical science, with experience in technology transfer in higher education, or equivalent experience in the private sector. You will be a proactive self-starter, and preferably have a track record in deal transactions.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
Queen Mary Innovation Ltd (QMI) is Queen Mary University of London’s (QMUL) wholly-owned technology transfer company and is responsible for the commercialisation and management of the University’s intellectual property and portfolio of spinout companies.
QMI protects and exploits QMUL’s research-derived intellectual property and helps to maximise the economic and societal impact of that research. This role is with the Biopharma team of QMI.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time, permanent appointment. The starting salary will in the range of £38,000 - £48,500 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
