Clinical Research Development Facilitator NHS AfC: Band 7

We are looking to appoint a driven, ambitious individual, with advanced knowledge and experience of research and researcher development, to be our new Research Development Facilitator. You will help us realise the research potential of our organisation.  With your highly developed communication skills, you will foster and sustain the development of inclusive and productive research collaborations.  With your significant experience and effective influencing skills, you will seek to capitalise on the prevailing health and care needs of our patients, their carers and the public.  You will be key in supporting the successful pursuit of research funding and training opportunities.

The Research and Development Service has an established reputation for supporting the delivery of a wide portfolio of high quality hosted clinical research trials. By supporting the development of locally-led studies, more closely aligned to patient and service priorities, the Service aims to further its contribution to improved patient outcomes and experiences.

You will work closely with the Clinical Research Development Lead and Trust’s Research Ambassador to proactively identify, engage and connect clinical teams and individuals with academic research experts.  Team-working is essential and you will also work alongside colleagues in the Service’s Research Support Office.

You will form effective relationships with key stakeholders across networks.  You will be confident in your interactions with patients, staff and others, at all levels.
