Business Partnerships Associate (Medical Sciences): University of Oxford Medical Sciences Division

The Business Partnerships Office of the Medical Sciences Division is seeking to appoint a new role of Business Partnerships Associate. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move into the field of business development and business partnerships.

 

The BPO performs a key function for division by facilitating and promoting strategic research partnerships across our diverse academic community. This involves a mixture of business development and market analysis, networking, relationship building and alliance management.  We work across a broad range of internal stakeholders including, departmental administrators, academics, research services. The work of the team is diverse, stimulating and rewarding as we perform a key role in the university’s mission of advancing medical research. Activity in this field continues to grow as the university’s academics work more and more closely with businesses to diversify funding streams and promote translational research.

 

In this role, you will work closely with Business Partnerships Managers to support the team’s ongoing strategic partnerships. This is be predominantly an internally facing role, liaising with academics, departmental administration and research services. The role will also include external visibility through networking at conferences and as part of supporting existing partnerships. The role requires flexibility a willingness to support others in their work, ability to work with multiple stakeholders facilitating work across many teams. You will also be an effective networker and be expected, in time, to identify and develop new opportunities for team.

 

The ideal candidate will be highly scientifically literate, a fast learner with experience in external engagement and partnerships.

 

This position is full time and is available immediately for 3 years
