Business Development Manager

This full-time role is available immediately on a fixed term basis until 16 August 2023.

 

The role offers the opportunity for blended working with the expectation that the role holder would come into the office an average of 2-3 days per week. This is open to discussion with the successful candidate.

This post will be based within IIB’s Data, Technology and Health sector team and will work in a hugely exciting, dynamic, and critically important area for the University: leading and driving advanced engineering and manufacturing solutions and impact from the University’s world class interdisciplinary research.

 

Summary of the role

Impact and Partnership (Business) Development Managers (IPDMs) are responsible for leading business engagement, impact development, and research collaboration with industry, government, and non-academic partners. They develop, and are responsible for, long-term strategic partnerships between the University and external stakeholders, and work to create opportunities, generate value, and drive impact.

 

This post will be working in the Sector Teams to support communications and campaigns focused on prioritised sectors, spanning the research strengths in the Colleges. You will be working with the IPDMs and Heads of Sector on internal and external advocacy and engagement utilising a range of communication platforms and resources.

 

The successful candidate will be interested in the latest research impacts across the economy and society, and will possess excellent communication skills.
