The Business Development team in the Enterprise and Business Services Directorate provides leadership and support for the development of profitable and strategic relationships with business, organisations and funding bodies.
You will apply specialist knowledge of developing industry/business partnerships from small and medium sized enterprises to large organisations.
As Business Development Manager you will work collectively with the BDM team on strategic initiatives and projects, as well as being a partner for a specific faculty.
You will apply specialist knowledge of developing industry/business partnerships through contract and collaborative research, knowledge exchange, consultancy, higher degree apprenticeships, CPD and in aiding the commercialisation of IP (licensing).
This post will be supporting our Health & Life Sciences (HLS) department.
As the Business Development Manager (HLS), you will have an understanding of business development in Universities and a track record of successfully increasing commercial income, meeting performance targets and managing resources and relationships. A clear understanding of the strategic needs, issues and decision processes of major corporations and public sector employers is essential in order to successfully manage and promote corporate and stakeholder engagement. Being a team player and excellent communicator are qualities we value. At a key time for the university, this is a critical role and a great opportunity for a dynamic, ambitious and high performing leader and influencer.
£42,482 - £52,247 – Salary to be set by Vice Chancellor in accordance with Senior staff pay, this will be dependent upon skills and experience
