Directors' Forum 21-22 March 2019

Join us in London this spring at the The PraxisAuril Directors' Forum.   This event is for PraxisAuril members only   The Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) proposes a third pillar of university activity assessment alongside the REF and TEF and informs the Industrial Strategy. This is a time for KE leaders to take the initiative and demonstrate how an existing cohort of professionally skilled staff in UK universities and research organisations are already helping to drive Knowledge Exchange in its broadest sense. The KEF puts universities in the spotlight once again as enablers and facilitators of productivity, growth and enterprise and we need new conversations about how to respond as professionals.   Spring’s Directors’ Forum will, therefore, take the KEF as its backdrop to discuss professional development in a number of ways: for senior career professionals, for team development, and KE in academic pathways. This will include sessions on:   - possible implications of the KEF Concordat and metrics for office development and staff deployment across KE and Research functions   - KE training for academics, picking up on a PrA Directors’ list conversation and with reference to a recent study by NERC KE Fellows   - feedback from the Board Strategy Away Day, requesting input on new course development and deepening stakeholder relationships   PraxisAuril has a dedicated KEF webpage where you can find resources to inform KEF discussions, access our consultation submissions, and read the latest KEF news and blogs.   Programme available here   Early registration is encouraged as places for this event are limited, multiple registrations from a single institution may be restricted. Directors may nominate a deputy to attend on their behalf.   Event format:   Evening dinner and keynote lecture on Thursday 21st, followed by a full day (Friday 22nd) of talks and networking.   Attendees: •    PraxisAuril members: Heads of Office (or a nominated deputy) •    Key sector stakeholders (by invitation only)   Please note the event fee does not include accommodation and is plus VAT   Venue:   Holiday Inn London - Regents Park is a modern hotel near central London's attractions, with free WiFi and smart event facilities.
