Auril 2017 Conference Afterthoughts

Another AURIL conference has come to an end, this year with a powerful message about participation. That’s why we were all in Bristol of course – to take part in conversations large and small about our profession: the highs, the lows, the skills, the tips, what works, what doesn’t, where to find the money, how to spend it…the list goes on.

PRAXISUNICO AND AURIL JOIN FORCES TO CREATE PRAXISAURIL

 
After just over a year and a half of discussions, consultations and planning PraxisUnico and Auril have formally announced the launch of their new organisation and identity at their annual Auril conference in Bristol on the 5th and 6th October 2017. 
 
PraxisAuril operates in the best interests of the sector, driving consistent professional standards, development, and recognition of the KEC profession.

PraxisAuril is a trading name of Praxis Courses Ltd, a company limited by guarantee, registered in the UK.

 

Role of the Board

The PraxisAuril Board defines, evolves and communicates policy and strategy; monitors and controls implementation and performance of strategic plans and programmes; and ensures corporate governance.

Finalists for The Impact Awards have been announced!

We are pleased to announce that nine projects and five volunteers have been shortlisted in PraxisUnico’s Impact Awards for 2017.

The Impact Awards for KEC Professionals continues to celebrate the achievements of KEC professionals and our volunteer community in delivering and developing best practice across the sector. They also advocate the importance of showcasing the successes of KEC professionals across the UK.

PraxisUnico meets with Under-Secretary of State for BIS

Phil Clare and Douglas Robertson had a meeting with Baroness Wilcox, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State with responsibility for BIS matters in the House of Lords.  She also has a particular responsibility for IP and the Intellectual Property Office.  Baroness Wilcox found time in her busy schedule even in the middle of the recent, marathon Lords’ debate.

Baroness Wilcox is well versed in business matters and understands the importance of intellectual property having served on major company boards. 

PraxisUnico: Recognition for technology transfer professionals

Further to my email on 25 June, regarding the launch of the Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP).  This important initiative was also announced at the PraxisUnico Engaging Business, Stimulating Innovation Conference in Nottingham on 17 June.

What does ATTP mean to you*?

As a PraxisUnico member you are automatically eligible to apply for Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) status.  RTTP status:
