 dertake some pre-course work/reading before the co
 urse begins.\n \n &nbsp\;\n \n Who should attend?\
 n \n Knowledge Exchange staff who&nbsp\;have been 
 in a Knowledge Exchange operational role for at le
 ast 3 years and have recently&nbsp\;moved (or expe
 ct soon to move)&nbsp\;into a strategic leadership
  role in KE in their&nbsp\;organisation.&nbsp\;Ple
 ase note that applications are welcome from non-un
 iversity research&nbsp\;organisations&nbsp\;but ap
 plicants should be aware that examples and case st
 udies will be drawn from the&nbsp\;unviersity&nbsp
 \;sector.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n \n Experience can have b
 een gained in&nbsp\;any&nbsp\;&ndash\; or several 
 -&nbsp\;areas&nbsp\;of&nbsp\;KE. The course is&nbs
 p\;not suitable for those with&nbsp\;less than thr
 ee&nbsp\;years KE experience.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n \n A
 ttendance will be subject to successful completion
  of a short application process&nbsp\;and provisio
 n&nbsp\;of a personal&nbsp\;supporting&nbsp\;state
 ment.&nbsp\;Applicants will also be required to pr
 ovide a supporting statement from their line manag
 er.&nbsp\; Once logged in\, you can register your 
 details and you will be sent the application form 
 for completion.&nbsp\;\n \n Application forms must
  be received by the date outlined in the email\, a
 nd&nbsp\;delegates will be notified of the status 
 of their application. Invoices will only be issued
  if the applicant is successful.&nbsp\;\n \n Event
  description\n \n Knowledge Exchange&nbsp\;(KE)&nb
 sp\;is an increasingly important area for&nbsp\;Hi
 gher Education Institutes (HEIs).&nbsp\;Thanks to&
 nbsp\;research&nbsp\;funders and government&nbsp\;
 policy &ndash\; notably the R&amp\;D roadmap&nbsp\
 ;and KE Concordat&nbsp\;-&nbsp\;KE&nbsp\;is&nbsp\;
 increasingly&nbsp\;embedded&nbsp\;within an&nbsp\;
 HEI&rsquo\;s&nbsp\;strategy and activity.&nbsp\;Ou
 tcomes\,&nbsp\;outputs\, and impact are looked for
  at local\, national and international levels.&nbs
 p\;&nbsp\;At the same time\, in our pandemic-led y
 ear\, the pace of change in&nbsp\;KE and&nbsp\;the
 &nbsp\;HEI&nbsp\;environment has never been greate
 r&nbsp\;and expectations around the role of resear
 ch in social\, economic and cultural renewal are h
 igh.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n \n Leading a&nbsp\;university
 &nbsp\;KE&nbsp\;team&nbsp\;therefore calls for a&n
 bsp\;combination of skills across&nbsp\;KE&nbsp\;s
 trategy\, leadership and&nbsp\;management&nbsp\;
 alongside a&nbsp\;need&nbsp\;to understand&nbsp\;t
 he political drivers&nbsp\;affecting&nbsp\;univers
 ities&nbsp\;in general\,&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;those of 
 your&nbsp\;own&nbsp\;institution&nbsp\;in particul
 ar. &nbsp\;How&nbsp\;each&nbsp\;HEI&nbsp\;interp
 rets the external environment within their own str
 ategy and&nbsp\;performance&nbsp\;measures&nbsp\;w
 ill influence the KE leadership&nbsp\;and team str
 ucture.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n \n By&nbsp\;joining this&n
 bsp\;course\,&nbsp\;you will learn&nbsp\;the&nbsp\
 ;skills&nbsp\;needed to create and deliver an alig
 ned KE strategy for your&nbsp\;team\,&nbsp\;your&n
 bsp\;institution\,&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;its stakeholder
 s. As&nbsp\;the next&nbsp\;generation of KE&nbsp
 \;leaders&nbsp\;you&nbsp\;will also be&nbsp\;ready
  to&nbsp\;inform and&nbsp\;influence the future di
 rection of&nbsp\;KE&nbsp\;policy.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n
